Corrections policy and corrections log
We make errors visible rather than polishing them away. This page sets out what we correct, within what deadline, how you will notice, and which corrections have been made so far.
Why we do this publicly
This platform writes about the importance of reliable information during a crisis, and about the risk of an incorrect claim being stated with confidence. We cannot then amend our own mistakes quietly. A public corrections log is the only way for you to see whether we hold to our own standard.
What we correct
| Type | What we do | In the log? |
|---|---|---|
| Factual error (incorrect figure, deadline, name or legal obligation) | Amend immediately, update the review date, add a correction note under the article | Yes |
| Outdated information (regulation or deadline has changed) | Update and state the change | Yes |
| Incomplete or misleading (literally accurate, gives the wrong impression) | Supplement or rephrase | Yes |
| Dead or moved source link | Replace with the current location | No |
| Spelling and style | Amend silently | No |
Within what deadline
- Acknowledgement of receipt: within two working days.
- Factual error with possible consequences for action: as quickly as possible, at the latest the next working day. If an article says you must report something within a certain deadline and that deadline is wrong, that is not an error that can wait.
- Other substantive corrections: within five working days.
- Reply to the person reporting: always, including when we decide to change nothing. In that case we explain why.
How you will notice
For a substantive correction, the "last reviewed" date under the article changes, a short correction note appears at the foot of the article, and the change is recorded in the log below. The original text is not hidden: the correction note states what it said and what it says now.
Reporting an error
Send a message to redactie@aicrisiscommunicatie.nl. Useful to include: which article it concerns, which sentence or figure is wrong, and where possible the source showing what is correct. That last part is not a requirement; we act on reports without a source too.
Corrections log
All substantive corrections are listed below, newest first.
No corrections yet. This platform was published on 29 August 2026. Since then no substantive corrections have been made. As soon as that happens, they will appear here with the date, the article and a description of what was changed. An empty log is not proof of being error-free; it means nothing has been reported or found yet.
Changes that are not corrections
We sometimes extend articles with new examples, tables or references without anything having been wrong. That is an addition, not a correction. It changes the review date too, but does not appear in this log. That keeps the log useful for what it is meant for: seeing where we got it wrong.
